My divorced daughter and almost-divorced son and I have been talking a lot about loneliness lately. In one conversation I recalled this song that I listened to constantly about 25 years ago during a period I felt extremely lonely – as we all do at times.
Favorite lyric:

Some room is empty, that room is there by design.
If I feel hollow, that’s just my proof that there’s more for me to follow:
